Mr J. Mills, secretary of the Mnndeville Club, writes : — The first match of ( he season between the Mandeville-Otama and Gordon Olubs was played on the Bth inst. at the Stony Creek Hotel. As some of the best players in the Gordon Olub did not turn up, the result was a rather easy win for the borne team. A most enjoyable evening was spent, supper being provided in Host Carroll's best style. A return match is to be played at Gordon next month. Scores :—
