OUR VOLUNTEERS.
On Thursday, May 1, the return match between teams representing Falmerston and Waikonaitl Rifles took place on the range of the latter. The day beiDg fine, some fair average scoren were made. After the shooting was over the men were marched down to the Golden Fleece Hotel, where a splendid dinner awaited them, prepared by Mrs M'Keeman. After the dinner was over the usual toasta were proposed and duly responded to, and some very good songs were sung. The Palmerston team returned home by the 5.25 train. Thefollowing are the scores the conditions being five shots at each range:— Waikouaiti.
