After getting round the first turn past the post Secrecy crept up to the leader, and on the off side of the course took the lead, Road Metal being hard held. A quarter of a mile from home Road Metal came through, and without an effort assumed command, winning by a length. Black Jack took the lead at the start and was never troubled, winning by about three lengths. Time, 2min 23sec. Dividend, £6 15s. Tho winner was bought in for £13. Victory was lett at the post and ran far behind the others throughout the race. Modeste was first to show in front, but at the back of the course Vaultress had assumed first place with Jealousy second and Parvula third. Nearing tbe straight Parvula took second position, and challenged the leader a short distance from the post, but Vaultrefs was not to be caught and won a capital race by a bare half length.
