Moritzson and Hopkin, grain, produce, ana commission agents. Manse street, Danedin, report (wholesale) for the week ending May 7 ai follows : - Wheat : Market firm. Best Northern Tuscan, 3s 2d to 3s sd ; velvets, straw, and Hunter's, 3s to 3s 2d— Southern, 2d below above ; soft samples for second class flour, 2s 6d per bushel. Fowls' wheat : Good whole in fair demand at 2s 4d to 2s 6d : second and inferior, 2s to 2s 3d. Barley : Prime malsters', 2s lOd to 3s 3d; millers' lots, 2a 2d to 2s 4d ; feed, Is lOd to 2s Id. Oats: Prime milling, Is 4§d to Is 5d ; bright plump feed, Is 3d to 1b 4d ; second quality and off colour, Is 2d to Is 2Jd —sacks extra. Flour : Timaru roller, £8 10s, f.0.b.; Oamaru and town brands, £7 16s. It was the intention of moat millers to raise flour this month owing to the rise of wheat, but it has not come off yet. Oatmeal: Long ton in bulk, £8 10s; 25's, £8 15s. Bran : £3 for stone ;£3 15s for roller. Sharps :£i for stone ; £3 10s for' roller. Potatoes : We sold our last arrivals from Oamaru at £3 10s to £'i 12s 6d, but we hear of sales' to-day at ,50s. Pigs are now only saleable at 3d, as the market is glutted. Chaff : Best oaten, heavy and clean, £2 7s |6d to £2 10s. Turnips : 30s per ton. Carrots : 35s per ton. Straw, oiten and wheaten : 30s to 355. Onions : £5. Hay, oaten: £'t. Clover and ryegraes hay: £3 ss. Butter: Best salt has little inquiry, and we refrain from quoting this week. Reports from England are very discounting. Eggs : Scarce. Honey : 4sd to sd. Cheese : Factory, 4d ; loaves, 4§d ; Akaroa, large, 3£<l ; loaves, ;^fd to 4d ; second quality, 3d. Hams and bacon : Hams, 8d ; flitches and rolls, 6Jd, Grass seeds: lhegrass, farmers', 3s , to 3s 9d; machine dressed, 4s to 5s (3d ; cocksfoot, prime sample, 4d to 4Jd ; other sorts, 3d to,3Jd.
