WAIKAKA VALLEY.

April B.— The stacking of the orop was practically completed last week, and moßfc of the farmers, who have not already threshed, are engaged at present laying coal at the stacks and oartine bales of cornsacks from Gore. One or two machine owners are threshing this season for 6s 6d per hundred bushels. The charge last year was 7s, and some are still charging the same price. The men get 9d per hour with food, and I have not heard of any demurring to pay this. The weather it all that could be desired.
