Otago Education Board, IT IS HEREBY NOTIFIED that the Otago Education Board has decided to offer for COMPETITION this year, 18 SCHOLARSHIPS— eight Junior, and ten Senior. The Examination in connection with the same will commence ou or about WEDNESDAY, the 18th December. In addition to the above Scholarships, the Board of Governors of the Dunedin Boys' and Girls' High Schools grants free education at the High Schools for three years, to all the candidates for Senior Scholarships who make not less than 50 per cent of the total attainable marks. Chambers' Graduated Reader, Book VI, is the text-book prescribed for the Junior Scholarship Examination in English. Headmasters are reminded that the names of intending competitors, together with certificates of ago, and lists of optional subjects selected by candidates for Senior Scholarships, must be forwarded to me on or before MONDAY, 2nd December (see regulation 7).
