WAIWE RA.
September 23.— The long spell of fine weather we have experienced was interrupted on Friday, when rough, stormy weather, accompanied by hail and buo w, get in. AH outdoor work was put a stop to for the time being, the land at) time of writing being completely saturated, and every little creek running
full of water. This will probably have the effect of fchrowingjeome farmers late with portions of their crop. The early sown crop looks well in many places. The lambing season bo far has been very good, and several farmers have already a fair percentage. The season ib early yet, however, the larger flookowners preferring to have their lambing a little later on.
Farmers' Club. — I am aorry to say that this body does not meet with the regularity of yore. This is certainly not due to want of subjects for discussion— the small birds, rabbits, roads, and rates presenting material enough for many a night's meeting ; and I trust the apparent iack of interest noticeable may be of short duration.
