The men who went to Outram recently were to show the Christchurch man the way to ride hills, but the stranger was ail there. One man of the party complains that he cannot get a spring to carry his weight at all nowadays.

Running dark for the summer, probably. The finish was disputed between James I and James 11. . However, all made a good show later on, when the cream, &c. was about. -^— The secretary saya it is easier to get subscribers to a club Cinderella than to a gronnd company, even though a track is the prize in view.
'What is the attraction to Wingatui viaduct ? Quite a number of club men have been up this winter — at least they say so. 1 The party returning from Milton last week were to have had refreshers on arrival in town at the expense of our Henley skipper if they arrived before a certain hoar. Every nerve was strained to get those refreshers and— they got them. The skipper wants to know how.
