September 17. — The new Presbyterian ChuMh' is now completed, and is to be opened on the second Sunday of October. The Rev. Dr Stuart, of Dunedin, will preach. A soiree is to be held on the preceding Friday The new church has a prepO'sessjng appearance, and is very striking, both inside and out. The plaster mouldings and finishing of the facings leave nothing to be desired, but some of the woodwork inside is very poorly dressed and shows out very badly through the clear varnish. Other things might be said both in praise and censure, but take it all over, the Milton Prenbyterians have much cause for satisfaction. The grounds are now being put in order, tmd an iron railing put up along the frontage, which will set off the building,
