WAIKAKA VALLEY.

September 17. — The weather was fine during the latter half of last week and has continued so up to ■date, and the soil is now in good order for harrowing. Sowintr and harrowing are therefore proceeding apace, and the end of this week will probably see a considerable area sown. Few will finish this month, however. The warm sunshine of the last few days has brought the grass on. but it will take a fortnight of fine weather to cover the paddocks with a fab sward of grass.
