Battery returns for the week:— Keep-it-Dark, 1260z amalgam from 155 tons; Inkerman, 720z amalgam from 60 tons; Inglewood, 670z amalgam from 55 tons ; Globe, 182oz amalgam from 125 tons ; Scotia, 201oz retorted gold for five days from the top plates. The Brokers' Association report for the past week : "Business has been less brisk, and in several instances prices have suffered a very material decline. The Keefton Mining and Stock Exchange held its first meeting for the transaction of business laßt night. There was a large attendance of members, and a good many lines changed hands. This exchange has made a healthy start, and promises to become a very popular institution, the majority of our leading investors and speculators having become members.
