Report for week ending Friday, August 30 ;— There is little new to report in the grain trade. Business is exceedingly quift. Foreign advices for wheat tend to firmness, but locally there is no disposition to purchase. The inquiries last week for Tuscan have been filled, and it is now difficult to obtain our quotations. The three boats for Sydney at tbe beginning of the week have taken another large shipment of potatoes, the advices of which speculators are now awaiting. The oat market is quite lifeless, no orders being on hand and local requirements being fully supplied. Barky, like oats, is very dull, there being bo little prime, and buyers decline to operate on second quality. Ihe folio .ving are our quotations :— Wheat : Prime Tuscan 3a)dto 3s 8d ; pearl, 3s 4d ; Hunter's, 3s Id to 3s I'd ; r roken wheat, 2s 6d to 2s 9d. Oats : Milling, l-s Od; short feed, 2s 7d to 2a 8d ; inferior, 2s id to 2s ud. Barley : Prime malting, 3b 8d to 3s lOd ; medium, os to 3s 3d ; feed, 2s 3d to 2s 9d. Beans. 3s 3d to 3s 4d. Pease : Prussian blues, 3s 6d to 3s 9d ; feed, bs to 3s Id. Grass seed : Byegrass— maohine-dressed 4s 6d to 4s 9d, farmers' lines 3s to 4s ; cocksfoot— prime 3sd, inferior 2§d to 2jd.
