Blindfold Game.
One of eight games played blindfolded by Mr J. H. Blackbume at the Plymouth Chess Club in December last. From the Sheffield Independent, Danish Gambit. White. ■ Black. J. H. Blackburn. P. P. B tka Poh could of course be played at once. b White has now an admirable development for one pawn less. c Naturally dreading the threatened advance of the X B pawn, but of course weakening his position in a fatal manner. d 19 Pto X 5 would be met with Rto X sq. The next move attacks both B and Kt. < This is indeed " piling it up." B tks P eh leads to mate in four moves direct. The course adopted is only one move less expeditious.
