(tfftOSl OtJB 0w& OfIRIiESPONDENT.) Reefton, April 7. The following are the battery returns for the past week : — Keep-it-Dark, 2600z amalgam from 168 tons ; Globe, 2270z amalgam from 175 tons ; Big River Extended, 6400z amalgam (2380z retorted gold) from 120 tons; Golden Treasure, 108oz amalgam from 30 tons. April 9. Globe. — The mine manager reports this afternoon that the reef in No. 1 level going east has widened out to 6ft, with good payable gold. The stopes are looking well. The reef in the west end, No. 2 level; is 7ft, carrying excellent gold. Stoping on this reef will commence at once. The share market has been rather an animated one to-day, business having been done in a number of different lines. Globes stand at between 23s and 245; Progress, 31s to 325; Lone Stars, Is to Is 3d. There are also buyers for Big Rivers, Inkermans, Scotias, and one or two other lines.
