The Oamara Club's Sports.

Deab Demon, — Have you seen the programme of the Oamaru Club's sports, to be held shortly? The events are all for roadsters, because I suppose their track isn't fit for racers, but the most peculiar part of the programme is a footnote to the effect that only members of the Oamaru club will be allowed to compete! Don't you think this rather bad form on the part of a club whose members have been welcome at Christchurch, Timaru, and Dunedin ? Surely they must be a very poor lot of riders if, as would appear, they are afraid to throw open their races to all-comers for fear of some outside " flyer " scooping the pod. Another aspect of the question is that the public always like to see big Jfields and some strangers—not'always the local men, however good they may be.—Yours, &c, Cyclist.
