Charles Guck, a 14-year-old boy, entered a dynamite magazine at Mount Pleasant, Ohio, on December 14, smoking a cigar. The magazine contained 210 kegs of powder and 10 cases of djnamite. Guck was blown into atoms, several persons were badly hurt, and nearly every house within a mile of the scene was torn to pieces. Less than 80 yards from the magazine was 80 tons of dynamite, which did not explode.
