THE LONDON WOOL SALES.

London, February 5. At the wool auctions prices were firm, but there are no changes to report. February 6. At the wool sales to-day 14,000 bales were offered. Bidding was spirited, especially among foreign buyers. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company (Limited) have received the following telegram from their London office, dated sth inst.: — "The wpol sales progress firmly. Medium and inferior greasy merino have declined |d per lb since close of lasb sales. Fine crossbred market firmer; other descriptions unchanged. Up to date 64,000 bales have been sold."
