Since this, however, he bas got a new boat of considerable size, which he will take in tow, and the difficulty will thus be obviated in future. The trip to the beach is not to be surpassed in the neighbourhood of Dunedin for every thingttiat is enjoyable to those who have the time andtaste for sightseeing. The Taieri Beach is fast becoming a favourite watering place. Every buildiag i 3 occupied by families from a distance, and the great cry is " want of accommodation." It is to be h'-ped some person of enterprise will step in and meet this want before next season, as we are sure to have an influx of visitors duriDg the exhibition, many of whom will not leave this parfc of the colony without paying a visit to the Taieri Beach, Presentation.—At a conference of the Sabbath school teachers connected with the Waihola church held in the mause on the 25th ult., the Rev. Mr Hall was the recipient of a presentation in the shape of a very handsome lamp. Mr J. L. Bonnin,.on behalf of the teachers, made the presentation in a neat address, and the rev. gentleman very feelingly thanked the teachers for their unexpected and handsome gift. Mr Hall has been the means of raising funds in aid of the different parts of his charge by lectures and mag}c lantern views, and has been at considerable inconvenience in so doing, and in ■recognition of this the teachers were led to make him the present as a return for his kindness. ?
