November 27.- j The local school waa examined by 'Mr'Petfie on the 19th 1 inst. The school committee,' the parents, and especially' the teacher, are to 'be cdngratulated'on : the excellent; reaultß of this exami- • nation, particularly ' as the numbers in attendance are outgrowing the persorial supervision of a' single teacher. -The roll number is 73, and the average in 1 fine Weather varies from 60 to 70. With so heavy a school to manage Mr Henderson is all the more deserving of oredit for the very satisfactory progress made by the children. ■ The following is a summary of the results:— Standard I: 9 presented, 9 passed; ; Standard ll: 11 presented, 11 passed; Standard'lll: 11 preseated.lo pissed; Standard IV: 9 presented; i 6 passed '; Standard V : 5 presented, 4 passed. Total 1 presented, '43 ; total passed, 40. Total percentage of passes, 95. " ( '•
