WAIKOIKOI.
November 24.— There is a movement on foot at present for the erection of a churcli'.in this district.' This will supply a long-felt want, as the schoolhouse is proving quite inadequate to accommodate with comfort the large cpngregatlona" which attend the services Sunday after Sunday. ' LABRIkINHM.— This district has until very recently been free from' the larrikin pest, but { I am 'sorry to say that the genus has made Its appearance lately, to.the' no "small annoyapce of tl^e pealceful members ,of the community. I fail to see what amusement there can be in interfering with' people's horses, throwing stones on tljerQofs'of houses, &C I trust that the fact of my drawing attention to the master will be sufficient to check the axuberance of ' spirits' dbplayed by the parties implicated without' my taking the extreme step of sending you their names f6r publication. ' , ' Agbicultube.— Taraip sowing is now occupying the attention of the farming community, and a considerable area haß already been sown. A grr at many have changed their method from broadcast, sowing to drilling this season, using artificial manure as a fertiliser. The weather bo tar has been anything but' favourable for the orops and vegetation in general, apd,Krowth for Borne time past has been almost at a standstill,' and heat f s very badly' wanted. ■ '
