GIRTH, Cromwell.— The minimum weight in a flat handicap is 6.0, in a hurdle handicap, 8.7 ; m a steeplechase handicap, 9.0. These welsthts are regulated by Rule 36. S. S., Dunedin.— Carlyon was not an unbeaten three-year-old. He finished nowhere in the Sydney Cup run on the 2nd April last. The placed horses were Australian Peer, 8.6 ; Algerian, 82 ; Acme, 8.8. 2f. M. T., Wellington.— lt Is a natural mistake that you have made. The Aglaia you refer to was bred in Tasmania by Mr J. Field, by Peter Wiltuns— Ladybird, by Bay Middleton. Sport, Milburn.— (l) The hares have not been sold off or otherwise parted with, and we presume that it is intended to have coursing on the ForDury again next season. So far as we know nothing has vet occurred to lead to an opposite conclusion. (2) He is a paid official. O. M'G Palmerjton.— Leos. He died somewhere la the Neleon distriot if we remember right.
