NOTES BY FORWARD.
The Canterbury team will be in Dunedin on the Bth September, and the Otagq team will visit Southland on the 15th of the same month. The Englishmen will be here about the 25th, when an Otago team and a combined South Island team will be pitted against them.
The English footballers played a match on Thursday against Ipswich (Queensland), which they won by 12 points to 1. They also played against a Queensland representative team on Saturday, and won it by 7 points to nothing.
