NOTES. (a) This is on the theory of doing nothing in particular aud waiting events. Major Hanham is rather partial to this method of opeuing his game. (d) A weak move, but White has rather the better of the- game, probably. _B to Kfc 5 would have been Black's best resource. (c) Major Hanham plays this game in his best form.
