Draughts Matches.
Gordon v. Goue. An interesting match was played recently between the Gordon and Gore Draughts Clubs, 12 players a side, in the Town Board offices, Gordon. The following list gives the names ot the players and their Bcorea ;—
39 5 24 As showing the keen spirit with which the gam>' is prosecuted iv Southland at present, we may mpntion that another match ia already fixed to take place between the same clubs in a fortnight hence, and that the Gordon players are going to challenge, the Mataura club for a return match. In the meantime the players are requested to practise steadily, and their enthusiastic president, Mr J. 31' Gibbon, is giving a prize for competition.
