At the regular weekly auction sales on Monday i here was a large attendance, all the members of the trade being present . Large catalogues were offered of all classes of sheepskins ; competition was brisk, and prices showed a slight advance on last week's sales. Batbitskins. — The demand continues , brisk, all sorts being in good request, but more especially fullfurred thin-pelted greys, and realise prices equal to those obtaining previous to the advices reporting* a fall at the last sales in London. There are several orders in the' market, but* the paucity of supplies, ia retarding their completion. Meantime, however, buyers are limited to price, and in the absence of a

substantial' advance in price at Hoinef we can hardt. look for very much further improvement in v»in2 here. Quotations are at present : — Summers 6d tl 9d ; autumns, 9£d to Is ; early winter, 143 dto lUa full-furred bucks and does, 16d to 16M per ( lb. ! Tallow. — The market continues steady, and «- material change in any way to report. Stocki^J low, but as the supply coming forward is sufficjS for requirements, and the only operators being t£ local manufacturers, in the absence of any dem»3 for shipment prices remain as last ■ quoted—vv prime rendered mutton, 18s to 19s ; medium to goc? 15a 6d to 17s ; inferior and mixed,. 13s toHjj? rough fat— inferior, 8s to 9s ; medium to good, 9j*J to lls 6d ; best (clean and fresh), 12s to 18s per o^ Grain.— Wheat : The demand for good mili£ continues extremely restricted. During the week, however, a few sm parcels of this description have been placed for »1*! ment. Inferior and fowls' wheat continues md demand, but without any improvement in prijj The only descriptions for milling inquired for in t2 meantime are prime Tuscan and red straw, f. mixing; and the quantity used is comparative insignificant. A good demand exit! for shipping, but until there is a correspondln rise in the Australian markats shippers are not In position to operate at the prices now deraande here. Prime milling, stout and bright.
