MEETING OF CREDITORS.

A meeting of creditors in the estate of James Craig, Peninsnla, was to have been held at the official assignee's office on the afternoon of the 22nd, but lapsed for want of a quorum.
Bankrupt's statement showed : — Liabilities to unsecured creditors, £58 10s lOd; to secured creditors, £1248 (value of securities, £1478); assets, £232. The unsecured creditors are — James G. Craig, £39 ; Anderson and Co., £9 13s 9d ; Peninsula Road Board, £4 16s Id ; Pictorial Atlas Company, £4 4s; Thomas Roughton, £1 17s. The secured creditors are — The Perpetual Trustees, £1035; F. Meenan, £168; Campbell, £45. The assets consist of surplus from securities £230, and book debts (£10) estimated to produce £2.
The Bishop of Waiapu has been speaking at the International Missionary Conference at Exeter Hall on the subject of missionary work in New Zealand.
Sir William Jervois was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society on the Bth June.
