The weekly meeting of the' land Board, held on Wednesday, Was attended by Messrs J. P. Maitland (chief commissioner), Clnrk, and Dallas. Db'ngbr.— Haifger Mills recortimended that the grazing right OvtJr sections il aitd 12, Wook Till, Bc'ng'er district, be granted to A. Brazil tfri the usual condition's. -.Referred to the chief ctfrnmissumer to an arigc accordingly. Kklso.— Mr Jchn Whitefield wrote asking tbrtt the unsold sections in b'o'ik X, Kelso. be offered for sale a"s suburban Mad at the rate of £1 per acre.— The application was declined. KuittWAO.— Messrs Reid, Maclean, and Oo 1 ., on behalf of Kdnald M'Donalu", of Clir.ton, applied for the grazing right over section % block VIII, Kuriwao' district, on the condition df Keeping down tile rabbite —Referred to the chief c)mmiss : oner to arrange acdordfriflly. Lower Wanaka.— An Application by Robert Park to purchase for cish, rural land in sections 9 and 11, block 111, Lower Wanaka, was granted. 1 Waitahuna Whst.— An application by Htfap Ross for an agricultural lease of section 20, block X, Waitahuna West, was also granted. Leaning Rock.— An' application by A. D. Lubeckl to purchase* ondpr agricultural lease, section 8, block IV, Leaning Rock, ira& recommended to the Government for' approval. BannockßUßV.— John Pryde applied to have a coalmining lease amended. The original application was for sections 2. 3, and 9, and the area adjoining section 9, block I, Bannockburn. The applicant now" asked that tho area might be limited to the surveyed sections— lt was resolved that the license be issued for the surveyed sections alone. St. BaThans.— Mr S. E. M'Carthy, on behalf of I P. F. Mooriey, asked that sections 2 and 3, block I, Sti flathans, be offered for sale by auction, and that land be 1 weighted with valuation for improvements, as lie ha^l created a stable on the same*— Referred to the district land officer to report.— —The Engineer of the Maniototo Coitnty Council asked that sections 5 and 6, block 11, St. "Bathrtns, be reserved for roads. — It was resolved that the land t/e ■frith'drawn from sale and reserved as requested. , Maniototo.— Mr M'Carthy, on behalf o"f Tlioirias 'Stephens, asked that section 8, block IV, Maniototo district, be burdened with a valuation of £25 for improvements in the latter's favour, as he occupied the • land with the runholder's consent. — It whs re3olved .that; the chief surveyor be requested to re'er to the surveyor for a report and valuation. 1 OtepoPo. — An application by James Dorreen to .purchase village section 80, block I, Otcpopo, on dfefeffed payments was grantedi 1 MAUN&ATUi.— .tames Ferguson httvlng. obtained ! 775 acres of perpetual lease land in block XI, MrtnnigdlUa district, and finding the same too small for ,the purpose of making a living, now applied for 1200 seres more in the same block. — Consideration was deferred until a report from tho chief surveyor was [received.
