Mr Fulton has presented a petition from & number of residents in the Taieri in favour of Bible reading in the State schools.
Mr Thos. M'Kenzie has presented a petition from a large number of residents of Bruce County praying the Government to take action in the case of the Stirling Licensing Committee, whose recent action the petitioners strongly condemn.
Mr Pratt has presented a petition from the Middle Island Natives objecbing to " The Native Lands Bill 1888."
Mr Menteath has presented a petition from over 2000 shopkeepers and residents of Wellington objecting to Mr Joyces' Shop Hours Bill 1888.
Mr Fulton bas presented a petition from residents of the Taieri district praying for the repeal of the Contagious Diseases Act.
Mr Valentine has presented a petition from the residents of Croydou Bush, Southlaud, asking that 800 acres of forest land, now denuded of timber shall be thrown open for settlement.
