The secretary to the Nelson • Jockey Club wrote intimating that they had disqualified the roan gelding Blucher for 12 months from April 21, for running at their meeting without possessing' the necessary qualification.—Disqualification endorsed. ' " The committee also minuted the follow* ing : — " Thau being morally convinced that certain 'parties, whose names are on' the disqualification list, have' been running horses in the names of . other people, it is > resolved that in all cases of corrupt practices in future, when the owner of any - horse is disqualified, the said persoa shall be warned off the course and other places where the Dunedin Jockey Club's rules are"in force, and that consequently rulo 152 will be brought into action." This rule, we may remark, enables the Club to deal with disqualified persons who, as is known, have been evading their disqualification.'
