FOOTBALL.
The advent of the International Football Team will no doubt be looked forward to with a certain amount of pleasure by those who play the game in New Zealand, where the Englishmen will commence their Australasian tour. P. G. M'Shane, an ex-captain of the Fitzroy Club, likewise a first-class cricketer and pedestrian, has been engaged by Mr Lillywhite to join the team on their, arrival to coach them in our prame— the Victorian. J. Lawlor, one of the Essendon's best players, is also likely to be engaged in the same capacity, the idea being that the team can be divided and each have a captain thoroughly conversant with our rules, and play against each other. The following matches have so far been arranged :— June 16.— Carlton, at M.C.C. ground. June 23.— South Melbourne, at South Melbourne. June 28. — Port Melbourne, at B.M.C.C. ground. June 30.— Fitzroy, at E.M.C.C. ground. July 7 and 14.— At Adelaide. July £I.— Melbourne, afc M.O O. ground. July 28.— Essendon, at M.C.O. ground. Aug. 4.— Hotham, at Hotham. Aug. 11.- Geelong, at QeeloDg.
