THE BLUE SPUR CLAIMS.
MR J. O. BROWN SAYS THERE IS NO
HITCH.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) Lawrknck, January 4.
Delegates from tho Blue Spur mining companies waited upon Mr J. C. Brown this afternoon in reference to what appeared in your ii-sue of to-day from your London correspondent, dated 18th November, stating that a serious hitch had arisen in the disposal of the properties to tho London syndicate. Mr Brown showed the members of the deputation correspondence received since he left London, also a cablegram received last Saturday, clearly indicating that there was no hitch in the arrangements entered into by the company with Mr Brown, but the reverse, the syndicate expressing their iutention of subscribing the bulk of the capital required privately among themselves. This may in all probability lead to the mines being taken over at an earlier date than was expected. The deputation, when leaving, expressed themselves satisfied with the negotiations botween Mr Brown ami the London syndicate.
