RETURNS.

Wellington, January 2. The Customs revenue collected in the colony last month was £105,073 as against .5109,325 for the cor responding month in 1886. The amounts at the principal ports were: Auckland, £20,446; Wellington, £17,618; Christohurch, £18,178; Duuedin, £26.821.

The beer fluty for-December was £6235 ; the amount for the corresponding month of the previous yea? being £6313. The beer duty collected in the large centres was-. Auckland, £.1403; Wellington, £564: Christchurch, £1337 ; Dunedin, £1243.
