An Aucklaud telegram says that a rich deposit of manganese has beeu discovered at Parua Bay, Wangarei. Latest reports from Kimberley goldtields are of a satisfactory character, and some good ijaggets have recently been found there. _ There appears to be quite a spurt fa mining, on ibhfc Molyneux. Brazil and parly, G. Sennet and Co., T. M'GuJloch and Co., and T. Aitfcen aud Co. also applieu for especial claims, and vvrce also recommended ior approval From Macetown the mawigor of the Premier gold mine reports that he crushed 80 tons ot stone last week and got 1320z of amalgam. He bad retorted the amalgam from blanketings only, aud obtained 198oz tfdwt of gold. The battery as still crushing with 10 heads. Our Arrowtown correspondent telegraphs that ilOoz of Amalgam from the Gailant Tip mine, the result of a .crushing of 65 tons, arrlv^ jtoere yesterday..
