J. H. Kilgoub, grain and produce broker, reports under date October 19 as follows: — Wheat. — There is no change to report, for although arrivals have been small buyers do not seem disposed to operate, and prices remain as quoted last week— viz., 38 Sd to 3s lOd for best milling, 3s 7d to 3s Bdfor medium milling, and 3s to 33 6d for fowl feed. Oats.— The long-continued bad weather has kept the roads bad, and consequently supplies from the country have been small, but as prices continue low in the other markets short supplies have not affected prices here very appreciably. I quote bright Bhort feed Is 7£d to Is B§d ; milling, Is 9d ; inferior feed, 1b 6d to Is 7d. Barley.— Supplies of malting quality are short, and good samples would sell at 4s to 4s 4d, bags extra: raillintr, 3s 3d to 3s 6d ; feed quiet at 2s 3d to 2s 6d. Chaff.— There is rather a scarcity of good oaten sheaf at £2 17s 6d ; medium, £2 10s to £2 12s 6d, while inferior is plentiful at 30s to 40s. Potatoes.— Beat Northerns would now fetch 40s; Southerns sell at various prices from 25s to 355, according to district. Grass Seel. — There is nothing to report, business being at a standstill. Butter.— Salt in kegs, 3d to sd, quiet ; fresh in mixed cases, 4d to sd. Eggs. — Supplies this week have not been bo plentiful ; price to-day 8d per dozen.
