THE IRISH LAND BILL.
SECESSION OF UNIONISTS. (Reuter's Telegrams.) London, August 19. The adjourned debate on the amendments in the Irish Land Bill inserted by the House of Lords at the instance of the Government, relative to judicial rents, was resumed in the House of Commons last night, the clause being eventually carried by the application of the cloture. Mr Chamberlain and seven Unionist members voted against the amendment. August 22. The action of the Government in having vital amendments inserted in the Irish Land Bill when that measure was before the House of Lords has given offence to the Unionists, several of whom have seceded. (Special to Peess Association.) London, August 21. Sir Charles Kussell has withdrawn from the Unionist ranks owing to the amendments made by the House of Lords in the Irish Land Bill.
