On tbe whole th@ series has been a good one, the decline of £d per lb manifested ab the commencement having been recovered in the course of the sales. The Rim,utaka, frotr\ LytteUon, with an " irregular ' cargo' of 11365 sheep, 5786 lambs, and 419 pieoeg of beef, has cleared, with the exception of about 300 lambs, at 3£d to 5d for the sheep, 3d to 7d for the lambs, and 4|-d to 5d for the beef. The Blderslie, from Port Chalmers, also with an " irregular " cargo of 21,720 sheep and 5700 lambs, has cleared the sheep at 3jtd to 5d and sold 4700 i lambs at 3|d to 66 X ThaTainui, from Lyttelton, with 25,083, siieep and 12,313 lambs, has cleared the sheep at 3nd to 4|d and sold 11,000 lam,ba at ad to 6d. The Ruapehu, from Auck^nd, with 10,176 sheep, 6242 lambs, an.d 988 pieces of beef, has cleared at 3§d to 4|«3 for the sheep, 3d to s|d tor the lamb*, and 4a to 5d for the beef. The Canterbury, from Napier, with 9830 sheep, has cleared at B£d to 4d. The Turakina, from Wellington, with 8872 sheep and 1716 lambs, has sold sheep- at 3d to 4d and 1500 lamba at 3d $o sd.
