Our readers will be glad to learn that the Eev. T. E. Ash, who lived for some time at Clyde. Otago, and was one of the competitors in the New Zealand Chess Congress, has just challenged Mr Crane, of Sydney, to play two blindfold games of chess, and that the match is likely to come off on an early date.
