AN INTERESTING AND UNIQUE ; COLUMN.

Hildegarde. — Your photo indicates 'a good memory, and love of children. You are fond of music,, and* greatly admire all pretty things. Your temperament is affectionate, but you are easily vexed, and .when vexed slightly peevish. Can accomplish a great deal, but have. not, that unflinching will that would push through mountains of difficulties. A' compliment or kind word cheers you on, and towards those you love you manifest great kindness. Have a fair share of faith, and believe what is sensible. B. C. — The photo with the black back is that of a man with tastes above the common. He is very fond of all that is beautiful in Nature, literature, and art. He is able to think his own' thoughts, and if I may coin a word has a great deal of " stick-to-it-iveness" about him — rather too much so, indeed. He is greatly bent upon conquering, and, if opposed, will fight his own cause. Is capable of much affection, venerates whatever is proved to be good ; is not very fond of children. At'times is rather brusque and short. Believes in whatever is not opposed to reason. — No. 2 is of a much milder temperament. Is very fond of music. Has much more friendship, 'but not nearly so much force and strength of wili as the other. Where one would die fighting the other would yield. Is rather and fond of children and animals. Is greatly given to pity all those in distress ; is rather diffident ; and a character possessing more kindness than strength of will.
Waikoikoi. — No 1 photo shows a man whose characteristics are rectitude and daring. Is found of climbing hills. Greatly aspiring. Should be fond of instrumental music. Dislikes very much all that is artificial or sham. Is a warm, stanch, true friend when the affections are once engaged. Has a good degree of veneration for anything noble and good ; also a good degree of hope and faith in what seems worthy of belief. Is .candid and straightforward, but could keep a 1 secret, if necessary. Is, easier led than driven, and is fond of children and animals. No. 2 : This photo indicates that a droll expression or good joke would greatly please the original. Has an affectionate temperament. Is not easily offended, 1 but when offended is rather emphatic in giving vent to his feelings. Is a true, loyal friend. Is possessed of much foresight, and is not likely to take any step without first considering the advisability of doing so. Is not easily taken in or deceived. When he once takes a like or dislike to a person his opinion is not easily changed. The,,handwriting indicates a cheerful, hopeful, affectionate temperament, combined with a pretty firm will and steadiness of purpose. Is possessed of many pretty little tastes. Is not inclined to give up his own opinions and adopt those of everyone he meets.
Peri Benoili. — Open and candid. Not inclined to be led away by every new whim. That is all I can say in this case, as the characteristics are not very marked.
Sol). — Full of hope and animal life. Affectionate and true to friends. Possess much courage and a firm will, therefore should accomplish much. Open and genial. Fond of having friends. Whatever you have to do you strive to do it in a proper manner. Sensitive to unkindness.
Ben* — Please send photo, as I do not quite understand your handwriting, although I should judge you to be affectionate and given to admiring whatever is worthy of commendation on account of its excellence.
At R» — Rather yielding and not very persevering — or at all events not to the degree to push on and through everything. Will not unclose your mind to everyone; gentle and pitiful. , Would not harm anyone if you could help it. Rather trusting and affectionate.
Muriel. — Have a good degree of hope. Are possessed of marked characteristics of your own. Have your own ideas, and are capable of forming your own opinions. Are impulsive and good-natured.
