Draughts at Palmerston.
During a recent visit the two following games were played between Mr David R. Hay, of Dunedin, and Mr'Jameß Ross, of Bushy Park, Palmerston. The total score between the same players for several sittings was — Hay 16, Rosa 7, drawn 15 games. Mr Hay played with a number of the other local players, and was pleased to find some of them of no mean calibre.
Game 992— "Defiance." Hay's move.
Game 993— " Dyke." Ross' move.
