The monarch had his title confirmed by the forms of a popular election. Immediately after his victory over Henry VI. he came to London, and returned thanks to God at St. Paul's Church. Ho was then conducted in solemn procession to Westminster, and placed on the King's Bench, in the Hall, which was filled with people.
