LAWN TENNIS.
The opening, match of the University Lawn Tennis ; Club'' (Medical "School v. Arts) jwas played on -the club's ground on Saturday.' The club has 'gone to considerable expense since! last season in improving' the grounds. The 1 |new courts were played on for the first time on Saturday,,and gave every satisfaction. With the extra extra facilities, for play, the, olub hope 1 to take the .posi^ionaslast year, when seven -matches, were played, in all, of which the, University proved (yip( yip ( torious. \lt was i generally thought ;the above match would result in. an easy victory; foij the Medicals; but as it proved .'the Arts were more than'a match for' them, winning by five gapies.
