Scotland, Catherine Shtata, widow of the Ute Hugh Donal'J. sole partner of Craig and Donald, engineers, Johnetone, and sister of Mrs M'J,eod, Knottf Cottage, Forth street, Danedia; aged 74* jeara. ' On the 26th March, at Waiwer* South. Jane Grigor, eldest daughter of John and Mary Ann Anderson ; aged 9$ years. On tbe 1 2th April, at Seacllff, Jane Maria, wife of Benjamin Parker ; in her 31st year. On the 14th April, ater a long and painful Illness, Ernest A. Strange, second e v d*st son of Matthew Btrange. of High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, England; aged 27> ears. On the 15th April (sudden y) at her residence, ' Anderaon'B Bay road Ann Atkinson, relict of the late J. hn Atkinson ; aged 59 years. On the 16th April, at hie parents' residence, Hi'riot row, Henry Douglas, eldest son of James Douglas Moult ray ; Bged 27 years. On fhrt i;th April ( suddenly), at his residence. Peach Grovp, George street. Kobert Miller, formerly of *di' burgh ; ag^d 74. On the 19th April, at his residenre, Argyle stt^et, Mornington, nfter a lung and paiu-ul illness, Thomas Qiiomßon ; aged 4« years. (tn the 18th Aprl, at Smith street, Gaversham, William Gladstone, infant son of William Alexander ; aged eight months On the 2th Apiil, at his son-in-law's residence, Kingßtreet, William James; aged 69 yeara. Deeply regr'-tted. On the aOth April, suddenly, at Lower Hanover Street, Margaret Oliver, the i cloved wife of Thomas Livingston ; ag^d 53 ye rs. At his residence, Arthur street, Dunedin i after a long illneßS, George Tombe, formerly of Ballymena, County Antrim, Ireland ; aged 75 ytara.
