HEARSAY EVIDENCE NOT ADMISSABLE.
An eminent Lord Chief Justice, who was trying a right-of-way case, had before him a witness — an old farmer — who was proceed* ing, to tell the jury that he had "knowed the path for 60 year, and my f eyther tould I as he had heard my grandfeythersay — -" "Stop," said the judge, "we can't have hearsay evidence here."
