A.J.C. AUTUMN MEETING. (REUTEB'S TELBOBAMB.)First Day.— Apbix 9. The first day's racing of the Australian Jockey Club's Autumn meeting took place at Randwick to-day. The weather was fine and warm, and the attendance good, many distinguished visitors being present. His Excellency the Governor was unable to attend. A great race ensued, Honeydew winning by half a length. Time, 2min 44fsec. Nelson looked overtrained, and was all out of it at the finish. A.J.C. Nelson is quoted at 10 to 1 (oft) for the same event. Second Day.—Apbil 11, The second day's racing of the Australian J.C. Autumn meeting took place at Randwick to-day. The weather during the morning was cool and showery, and after the firat race rain fell continuously. The attendance was good, and among the visitors was his Excellency Lord Caring ton. The following are the results : — FLYING HANDICAP, Of 150sovs. Three-quartero of \ mile. Plutarch... ... ... ... 1 Abner ... ... ... ... 2 Faugh-a-ballagh ... ... ... 3 Seventeen horses started in this race. A fair start was effected, and all kept together until the turn for home, where Abner and Plutarch drew to the front, the latter winning by a length, and only a neck separating the second and third horses. FriBCO ... ... ... ... ... 1 Kittawa ... ... ... ... a Tom Brown ... ... ... ... 3 The following horses also started :— Nelson, Jewel, Honeydew,' Fraud, Mozart,' Ringmaster, Sloth, Stanley, Willeroo, Folly, Phaon, Sorella, Wreck, Myall King, Emerald, and Abuse. A good start was effected while it was raining heavily. Honeydew and Wreck were the first to show in front. The latter, led to the straight, where he gave way to Mozart, who, with Myall King, passed the stand together, attended by Fraud, Wreck, and Frisco, while Abuse, Ringmaste^iand Tom Brown were absolutely last. As tHey passed the mile post, Nelson slipped and' fell while- running well.' * %t the back of - the course Ringmaster was in front, followed by -Myall Kibg, Frisco, and Stanley in the order named. They raced to the turn, where Tom Brown began to move up. When between the rails Frisco and Kittawa came to the front, and a good finish ensued, the former winning by' half a length. Tom Brown was third three lengths away, followed by Ringmaster, Emerald; and Honeydew. Time, 3min 39|sec, Betting : 6to 1 Jewel, Honeydew, and Myall King; 10 to 1 Tom Brown, Kittawa, Stanley, and Frisco ; 12 to 1 Nelson and Abuse ; 20 to 1 the others.
