I THE S. A. A. C.'s SPORTS AT 'j INVERCARGILL. , | The seventh athletic meeting of the Southland Amateur Athletic Club was held on Sb. Patrick's Day (Thursday, March 17) on the Park Reserve. The attendance was good, despite the cold weai ther, and the events were unusually interesting. The following are the results :— 100 Yabds Handicap.— D. Fale, 1 ; P. Maguire, 2. King, 3 Wilmot and Kerr rode together for about 20 miles, when the former spurted and gained a lead of 200 yds, an advantage which he easily.maintained to the finish. , King third, about three-quarters, of a-mile behind.
