THE FARMERS' FRIEND. CLEAN YOUR GRAIN AND GRASS SEED. THE AC3IE MIIX, PRICE £1 10s.: '• WE respectfully invite the attention of Farmers and Agriculturists' to the advantages of the Acme Panning MQI for clean* ing all kinds of grain, grass, , and olover seed. Everyone who has suffered from the excessive deductions exacted by dealers for imperfectly cleaned seed will be able to appreciate the lead» ing features of the " Acme " Wo. 1, which whilst so light that a child »an operate it,- has a clean* ing capacity of 60 to 90 bushels per hour ; and costs only £7 10s, free on rail or steamer. The "Acme" No. 2 Mill, with 30in sieve and a cleaning capacity of 100 to 125 bushels per hour, is equally light in use, and for perfect utility and thoroughness of work has no equal amongst Mills at a much higher price. ACME FARM MILL. We respectfully call attention to the Improved Acme Farm Fanning Mills, which not only com« bine all the advantages of the various Mills now in use, but also have the following very impor* tant and greatly needed improvements :— -' First.— -Their largely increased capaoity over other Mills in cleaning all kinds of grain and seeds. Second. — The improved plan of hanging the shoe upon strong strap-hiDged hangers, thus preventing constant breakage. Third. — Tho manner iv whioh the drum or head is fastened to the posts by means of a castiron half-circle, and secured to the post« by screws (instead of cleats morticed into posts and held by wooden keys), adding increased strength and durability to the Mill. Fourth.— The great advantage of a SCREW to raise or lower the slide of the Hopper with ease, in regulating the f eed v The irons are of the most approved pattern, the wheel, pinion, aud shake irons being extra strong. The gearing is all placed on the inside of tbe Mill, out of the way. The bearing 19 formed by the hub of the larga wheel running ia a thimble or box, three inches long, of Chilled Iron, and extending through the pobts, giving it a steady and easy motion. For cleaniug and separating all kinds of grain and grass seed, we guarantee this Mill to be equal to, and in fact superior, in all respects, to any other now in use. The fan and wind boards are so arranged that the wind strikes the hurdle in such a manner as to blow all foul stuff and light grain over the hurdle. The side spout delivers the No. 1 grain at tho side, and the No. 2 grain at the front of tKe Mill. The grader can be so adjusted as to separate and deliver through the side spoufc a greater or less portion of the best grain. The wheat Fcreens and grader aro so arranged as to effectually take out cockle, chess, or cheat from No. 1 and No. 2 wheat. PRICE AT RAILWAY STATION.
