AN IMPUDENT ROBBERY.
: - Wellington, January 11. An impudent robbery occurred yesterday at the house of Mr John Plimmer. Ob Sunday .Reuben Hind (who was before the court * short • time ago for , personating , Mr J&Uicoe) visited Plimmer, and by plea^in^'destituiioa obtained some money from him. "Yesterday .evening Mr Plimmer, on returning home, met Hind coming out. of .the house with r a parcel wrapped in a green Size covering, ,and fie' ex plained that he had called to tay good-bye, as he was about to leave Wellington. Mr, Plimmer , unsuspiciously allowed him tb\ go, and'afterwards found that his cash box,, with £35 _io money, a quantity of cheques, jewellery^ &c. had' disappeared. A woman giving her name as Annie Hind has, been -, arrested Along wito Reuben Hnid iu j connection with. the" rbbbery. Thdestimated value oi the. property stolen i» £200. The greater portion of the money and all the jewellery has been recovered, bat a cash book,' marriage certificate, and other stolen documents are still missing.
