EDUCATION BOARD'S SCHOLARSHIPS.
This year the Board of Education offered for competition 10 senior scholarships and eight junior. The following list shows in order of merit the 12 competitors who stand highest : —

JUNIOR SCHOLARSHIPS. 1 . Smith, Ernest, Mornington. 2. Hickson. J M, Clyde. 3. Hueston, Henry F, Clyde. 4. Hamilton, T, Union 6treet. 5. Douglas, Hugh, M'F, George street, and 6.
