NOTES. (a) Preparatory to the capture of Knight with Bishop. (b) Evidently a slip, which at once gives Black a winning advantage. (c) Black could not hold the advanced Pawn, and wisely exchanges Queens, being two Pawns plus. (d) Very well played. Mr Lipschutz deserves great praise for the prompt manner in which he takes advantage of his opponent's errors and scores the gamo. —Turf, Field, and Farm. Answers to Correspondents.
