LAWN TENNIS.

A contingent from the Green Island Club (writes our Lawrence correspondent) arrived in Lawrence on Friday evening, and on Saturday and Monday played a series of matches with our local club. The games created a little excitement, and a good many visitors watched proceedings on both days. The gentlemen of Green Island ran away from the Lawreuceites, but the ladies of the Lawrence Club played well and succeeded in making ifc a drawn match. The totals were 82 each.
